Planning a party or celebration?

At Drama in the Woods, we offer packages to help you or your child create a memorable birthday or celebration event. Our packages range from children’s birthday parties in the woods to Murder Mystery events for adults wanting to offer a unique experience for their special occasion. The focus is firmly on fun and all of our events take place in our beautiful woodland location in North London.

What we do.

Drama in the Woods is an open-air theatre company which offers events and projects to children, young people and adults at various wooded locations across the UK. All projects are delivered to promote self-expression, self- confidence, social connections and well-being. Our party packages will take all of the best bits of our projects and pack them into a few hours of highly energetic and engaging activities in the woods.

Packages

Package 1 - CHILDREN’S BIRTHDAY PARTIES

A 3 hour party package which includes energetic outdoor activities, woodland craft and fun drama tasks that the children will love. Our party practitioner will take the children on a journey through the woods, stopping to deliver each activity in a new part of the woodland.

Parents may accompany, or sit back and enjoy the woodland themselves while we make sure your children have the most memorable party full of woodland fun! If your children enjoy our holiday camps, they will love this as a party experience!

PACKAGE PRICE (Based on 15-20 children)

4- 6 year olds require 2 party practitioners- £475 (£23.75 per child)

8-12 year olds require 1 party practitioner- £400 (£20 per child)

Parent organisers provide food to be enjoyed as a picnic in one of our open spaces in the woodland.

Package 2 - OPEN AIR THEATRE STORYTELLING EVENT THROUGH THE WOODS

Let Drama in the Woods lead you through the woods in a wonderful promenade experience! Maybe we can take the children on a woodland rumpus as we explore ‘Where the Wild Things Are’ or take a stroll through the woods to Toad Hall as we bring the ‘Wind in the Willows’ to life, or how about a real Mad Hatter’s tea party? And this is not just a children’s party! The stories might be for children, but the theatre is for all. Parents can accompany, or let our practitioners take the children on an adventure, while the adults have their own party in one of our open spaces. This can also be booked for an adult’s special occasion where you might like entertainment for the children. Many go on to the local pub, just a few minutes walk away, with it’s own great outdoor space for the children to continue to play. Party areas can be booked separately.

The storytelling theatre experience lasts for 1.5 hours- £400 (£20 per child)

PACKAGE 3- MURDER MYSTERY EVENT FOR ADULTS

When estranged friends, family, ex-colleagues and old acquaintances of Sir Lloyd Montague are called to a will reading in the woods of a country estate, following his death in old age, they are intrigued. Why might Sir Montague leave anything to them? More importantly, what will he leave to them? And when there is a mysterious murder in the woods during that reading, how will everyone work together to solve the mystery and get what is owed to them? Book us for an afternoon of murder, mystery and lots of fun! You can even continue the fun at the local pub, just a few minutes walk away. Party areas can be booked separately.

PACKAGE PRICE (Based on 5-10 adults)

3 hour experience (including drinks around the campfire to end)- £450 (£45 per adult)

Participants bring own big ‘whodunit’ reveal at the end.

Health and Safety

• All staff members are fully trained and hold fully enhanced DBS
• There is always a paediatric first aid trained member of staff on site.
• Drama in the Woods is staffed according to Ofsted staff ratio guidelines.
• Our team are experienced in working with children with a range of SEND and disabilities and we
  continue to adopt new and innovative approaches to supporting young people with a range of needs.
• Drama in the Woods is fully insured.
